 Meet "Gray"

Gray was injured with a gunshot wound to the left leg several months ago, which caused extensive damage to the elbow joint. Gray was able to use the joint, although it was very painful. Options for treatment were amputation or fusion of the joint surgically. The decision was made to do the surgery to fuse the joint.  The surgery was performed by Dr. Bender, at which time he stabilized the joint with an External Skeletal Fixation (ESF) device. Gray's owner reports he is doing great and getting around well during his healing process, which takes approximately 6-8 weeks.
